Rachael’s theme for her Bat Mitzvah

What a fun shoot. I decided not to pose, really did ask her to just have fun and do as she would any other time she went shopping. Years of being told to look at the camera was not about to be erased in one day. Her mother stood by me so a lot of my images were in actual fact the interaction between the two of them.

Had to be very careful when in the vicinity of change areas, this too was emphasized by a number of the store staff when I made a request to photograph in their store.

We had done pretty much all we wanted to do, got a coffee at the end, did a couple of shots in the atrium when security came over and very politely informed me that one may not photograph in their Mall. Sure I said, I was not aware and stopped immediately.
